Lhasa, Tibet to Kathmandu, Nepal travel day

A different guide also named Kelsang, and the same driver took us to the airport. This guide was more personable and talked about things easily. We learned more about Tibet in our short ride to the airport than our whole week with the other Kelsang.

Our flight out was at 1:00 and we arrived in Kathmandu at 12:25. Lhasa is 2 hours and 15 minutes ahead of Kathmandu. Yep, and 15 minutes….

that's it, lean back and put your hands in my face - isn't plane travel the best???

We were met by Kranti, our guide and his driver, Noraz. Kranti greeted us with marigold flower leis.

We stayed at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel. We met with Ghanshyam, the owner of Tiger Encounter, for a short briefing today. He gave us all nice tee shirts from the company. We will have few days in Chitwan National Park.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was tasty, but I preferred Greg’s to mine.

We went a short walk to find a mini mart.

Tomorrow, we have a full day tour of Kathmandu.
